With summer in full swing, I’ve found it more than a little challenging to carve out time to write. That said, I have a few blog posts being republished on sites which I love reading and am very excited to be a part of.
This week, the letter I wrote to my daughter, Ruby, on her 10th birthday is up on Ten to Twenty Parenting. Ten to Twenty is a great site for those of us parenting tweens and teens. Reading that letter now a few months later reminds me how important it is that I take the time to notice and appreciate each of my girls individually as they grow and change. They are each so different from one another and each has so much offer, so much to reflect on, when I’m able to receive their energy and insight.
I also have a piece up on BonBon Break called Bee Stings, Midlife and Telling Stories. This post evolved from a free write I did during one of Jena Schwartz’s inspiring and nurturing online classes. I ended up incorporating my free write to post for Finish the Sentence Friday, a wonderful weekly prompt hosted by Kristi Campbell of Finding Ninee. If you’re looking for writing community, practice and support, definitely check out Jena’s classes and then join me for Finish the Sentence Friday.
Thank you, as always, for reading and commenting. Your feedback and friendship mean the world to me and are what helps me get over my slow, no-show times and dive back into the writing life.
Hope you’re all having a wonderful summer!
